Continued Protecting Territorial Sovereignty of Dokdo Island
-  Protected Dokdo Island for 44 months after forming the Dokdo Volunteer Forces
-  Blocked illegal attempts of Japan to occupy Dokdo Island six times
Completely Blocking Fishery Disruption by Japanese Patrol Vessels
-  Guaranteed fishery activities of Korean fishers on the seas near Dokdo Island
Permanent Installation of Territorial Marks on Dokdo Island
-  Blocked installation of territorial marks by Japan (installed five times before the Forces resided)
-  Marked our land by carving the phrase ‘Belongs to Korea’ on Dongdo rocks
Actively Supporting Korean Government to Strengthen Territorial Sovereignty Over Dokdo Island
-  Found river channels on Seodo and developed drinking water sources
-  Installed stairs on Dongdo rocks using chisels and hammers
-  Participated in installing a lighthouse and constructing a barrack at the top of Dongdo
Prepared Groundwork to Install Dokdo Security Police
- Members of the Dokdo Volunteer Forces specially recruited as police officers
-  Handed over weapons and equipment to ceaselessly support Dokdo Island protection
Blocking Japanese Invasion of Dokdo Island
After the Dokdo Volunteer Forces arrived at Dokdo Island on April 20, 1953, Japan made numerous illegal attempts to invade the island. In particular, there were six 
attempts in 1954. Despite the inferior weapons and conditions, the Forces resisted six Japanese attacks, thus solidifying the public awareness that Dokdo Island is 
Korean territory and strengthening our commitment to protect Dokdo Island.
First Battle: 10:30 on May 23, 1954
Repelled the invasion of Japanese Coast Guard armed patrol vessel Zugaru (1,000-ton)
Second Battle: 15:00 on May 29, 1954
Sent members to board Japanese fishing vessel Daisen (450-ton) and retired the vessel
Third Battle: 15:00 on July 28, 1954
Repelled the invasion of Japanese patrol vessels Nagara (270-ton) and Gurujyu (270-ton) in front of the 
Seodo river channel
Fourth Battle: 08:00 on August 23, 1954
Shot 600 machine guns bullets and repelled the invasion of Japanese Coast Guard armed patrol vessel Oki
Fifth Battle: Morning of October 2, 1954
Installed wooden cannons and repelled the invasion of Japanese armed patrol vessels Oki and Nagara
Sixth Battle: 06:00 on November 21, 1954  Grand Battle of Dokdo Island
Launched a full-scale offensive for an hour, hit Hekura with a mortar shell, and repelled the invasion of 
Japanese armed patrol vessels Oki (450-ton) and Hekura (450-ton)
